In the hit Netflix TV series Stranger Things, the character Billy Hargrove wears a Casio 640WD watch during the third series. Typically, this watch has a metal strap but Billy’s version has been replaced with a black bund instead. The reason behind this is that it probably makes his character look a bit rougher and more cool compared to wearing a standard Casio 640WD.
Interestingly, digital Casio’s are commonly worn by many of the Stranger Things characters which may be due to their retro look. However, his on-screen sister Max wears a Swatch instead. In Stranger Things, Billy is played by Dacre Montgomery who is seen as an 80s bad boy.
