If you’ve been shopping for a budget watch online, the chances are you will have discovered a brand called Benyar. There are a variety of Chinese brands which make both homage and their own designs of watches, with Benyar being one of the most well known and popular.
From a pure specification point of view, Benyar watches are nothing special and can be compared with regular fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and Hugo Boss. With that being said, Benyar watches are significantly cheaper than these watchmakers (as you would expect). So from this perspective, they are good value for money.
As a quick summary, Benyar produces very basic quality watches with cheap movements. However, they try to make these watches look more expensive than they actually are.
What Kind Of Watches Does Benyar Make?
Benyar does not really have a brand identity. They are a Chinese brand that has a huge variety of different watches which are generally geared towards both sports and fashion styles. These watches are almost always inexpensive and cost far less than any other reputable brand. The reason for this is that Benyar is not a brand that spends money on commercials, celebrity endorsements, or any other form of expensive advertising.
Benyar has their own range of originally designed watches, which are not particularly unique or groundbreaking but look pleasant and modern enough.
They also have a wide variety of homage watches which have been made to look like very popular luxury watches from top Swiss brands. Benyar are nowhere near the quality of brands that make watchers in Switzerland, but have a decent selection of alternative homage watches nonetheless.
Is Bersigar Pagani Design?
Due to the luxury car manufacturer being named Pagani, Pagani design has come under some scrutiny for using the name of this trademarked name.
Therefore you will find that BY Benyar use various names such as Pagani Design, Bersigar, Pagrne, HaiQin and various other names.
There is no difference in any of these brands and all names are used by the same company.

Are Benyar Watches Good Value For Money?
In general, Benyar watches are great value for money, providing you’re looking for a fashionable watch that is not made to a high specification. A typical Benyar watch costs anywhere from $35-60. This is a very good price considering they almost always use miyota quartz movements, which are used in a variety of watches such as Citizen, Coach, and Fossil.
Benyar homage watches generally cost a little more money and are in the $100 range. There is no real reason for these watches to cost any more money than Benyars own range of original watches other than supply and demand. Therefore you could argue that these watches are worse value for money, but there are not many other brands that have such a wide selection of homage watches for sale.
In short, Benyar watches are priced fairly. They are certainly not horological masterpieces, but they aren’t priced like this either.
The Best Benyar Watches Review
Benyar Sports Chronograph
This Benyar watch is a standard stainless steel chronograph with a blue dial. It uses a Japanese quartz movement and has a rather modern look, with the only strange feature being the somewhat oversized pushers either side of the crown.
Perhaps the main selling point is the price of this watch. For under $50, you won’t really find anything like this from a top fashion brand since their prices are typically 2-3x higher than Benyar.
Benyar Radiomir Homage
One of the few automatic Benyar watches you can buy. It is no secret that Benyar is clearly trying to create something that looks exactly like a Panerai Radiomir and has done a great job at doing so. Considering real Radiomirs cost 4 figures upwards, this is a good watch for someone who likes this style but wants the same look for under $100.
This watch uses a Chinese automatic movement, which is nowhere near as accurate as luxury Swiss movements, but reliable enough for the price.
Benyar GMT Master Homage
Available in a variety of different color schemes, the Benyar GMT is a clear homage to the Rolex GMT master II. Surprisingly, this watch is also an automatic and costs a little over $100. Considering the complications of a GMT movement, this is very fair as it costs more to produce this movement than a basic automatic.
There are a few other Chinese brands that also make alternatives to the Rolex GMT, however, most of these do not use automatic movements like the Benyar.
Benyar Daytona Homage
The Rolex Daytona is one of the hottest watches you can buy. In fact, you can’t really buy it from an authorized dealer since it will be out of stock, therefore it is more expensive on the grey market.
Thankfully, Benyar have a low cost alternative for those who want something that looks like a Daytona for a fraction of the price. Of course, the Benyar daytona homage is nowhere near the quality of that of a Swiss-made Rolex. It uses a Japanese quartz movement and is finished to a much lower degree of quality.
With that being said, it is under $50, so a real bargain for this design.
My Benyar watch does not keep an accurate date. Yesterday
it showed a day of December 2 instead of December 3.
You likely have your watch 12 hours ahead of what you think you set it at (AM/PM).
Benyar use Miyota which is very solid, so its unlikely this problem is within the movement.
