Steven Morrissey was the lead singer of The Smiths who gained cult status and still has plenty of adoring fans to this day. Since The Smiths split up, he has also had a very successful solo career. His 2009 compilation album ‘Swords’ features Morrissey wearing a Panerai Submersible PAM 170 watch.
This is clearly visible on the front cover which shows Morrissey crouching down with his sleeve rolled up, revealing the watch.
This Panerai model was a limited release with 300 for sale. It is a mixture of steel and titanium and has a unique structure around the crown. Unlike many Panerai Submersible watches, this one has a steel strap – as many are made from rubber or silicone.
