In the original 1977 movie The Hills Have Eyes, actor Robert Houston wears a digital Avatar watch. In this movie, he plays Bobby Carter who is one of the terrified victims fighting for survival against mutant hillbillies. Little is known about the brand Avatar which may have been short-lived during the 1970s.
As seen though, this watch has a metal case and strap with a black, digital dial. It uses red LCD numbers and was probably quite advanced for its time.
